Scope of Work
Since 2005, the Lehmann family has been producing hand-crafted vintages that reflect the terroir of the Peninsula foothills and sharing them with the local community. Winemaker Len Lehman needed an identity and packaging that evoked the flavor of this often-overlooked wine region.
Through a series of nature-themed label studies, we found the hawks that circle the hills of Portola Valley represented a fitting symbol of the region and sustainable farming practices.
The bird theme found its way into the Portola brand wine labels as well as in the Almendra wine and posters for their Summer Jazz concerts.
